The 1K Kids Run is a fun and exciting race designed for our youngest participants, starting and finishing at Lot 7 of Zuma Beach, right under the same start and finish line as the Half Marathon and 5K. The race kicks off at 2:00 PM, offering kids a unique experience.
Parents are welcome to run alongside their children, making it a great family-friendly event. The course is designed with safety in mind, with clearly marked routes lined with cones and friendly volunteers along the way to guide and encourage the children. It’s the perfect opportunity for kids to enjoy a safe, supportive, and memorable running experience.

You Can Pick Up Your Young Athlete's Bib and Shirt Before the Start Time, anytime from 11:00 AM to 1:45 PM.
Please Be Reminded That the Event Is Not Professionally Timed.

Both the start/finish line for the kids run is conveniently located at Zuma Beach Parking Lot 12 (about one mile in after entering through the kiosks at the main parking entrance).

Ample Parking Is Available In The Zuma Beach Parking Lots, Located At 30000 Pacific Coast Highway, Malibu, CA 90265. The Parking Rates For These Lots Are Set By The County Of Los Angeles Beaches And Harbor Department.
On Saturday, You Can Park For Free Along Pacific Coast Highway To Avoid Parking Fees At The Zuma Beach Lots.

The 1K Kids Run is designed for young athletes between the ages of 4 and 10. This ensures a fun and safe environment where children can enjoy the experience and feel proud as they cross the finish line.
Parents are welcome to run alongside their children to offer support and encouragement. However, they do not need to purchase an entry for themselves and will not receive a medal at the end of the race.
