The Coastal Quest Challenge is a two-day experience for participants who complete the 1-Mile Zuma Dash on Saturday and any Sunday race (5K, 10K, or Half Marathon). Challenge participants receive three medals, two shirts, and complimentary Beer Garden access on Sunday.

The Coastal Quest Challenge is a two-day experience designed to make your Malibu Moves weekend even more memorable.
You’ll run or walk the 1-Mile Zuma Dash on Saturday, then complete the 5K on Sunday.
You’ll receive three finisher medals, two exclusive race shirts, and unlimited access to the post-race Beer Garden on Sunday, included at no additional cost.

Our worry-free cancellation policy ensures you can register early with confidence. It covers your entry fees and any add-ons purchased during registration. Processing fees are not refundable.
Important Note:
Donations, charity entries, store purchases, and bib-by-mail purchases made past the mailing date are non-refundable. Virtual entries are also non-deferrable.How It Works:
November 2024 - June 2025: Full refund – No questions asked!
July 2025: 70% refund or free deferral to 2026
August 2025: 50% refund or $15 fee to defer to 2026
September - October 17, 2025: No refund and $25 fee to defer to 2026
October 18 - October 26, 2025: No refund and $50 fee to defer to 2026

Kick off your Malibu’s 5K adventure at the world-renowned Zuma Beach, offering an out-and-back course that showcases Southern California's natural beauty. This accessible course starts inside Zuma Beach, leading onto Pacific Coast Highway (PCH) for a prime view of Malibu's stunning shoreline. As you turn around the finish line awaits you to celebrate your achievement.
This flat and friendly route is perfect for participants of all levels — from competitive runners aiming for a personal record to families and walkers enjoying the landscape. With no hills to worry about, it's an unforgettable experience for everyone.
Stay hydrated and energized with a water station at mile 1.5, offering water and electrolytes, plus basic first aid. Additional first aid services are available at the finish line for your safety and convenience.
